Who We Are
Hi, we are Paul Little and Bjorn Delblanc, owners of Blue Jay Exterior Renovations.
We got our start in the siding industry as local reps for James Hardie Building Products, the world’s leading manufacturer of fiber cement siding. During our time working for Hardie, we worked with builders, architects, and contractors to show them the value of Hardie siding products, and to teach them how to install them correctly.
As born and raised Edmontonians, it always made us proud to see that our work would make a lasting impact on the architecture of our city. To this day we still love driving past projects that we worked on, especially when we helped someone achieve their perfect exterior design with long term durability in mind. This feeling is still at the core of what drives us today.
Over the years, we came to realize that something was missing in the Edmonton metro area: there wasn’t a company specializing in siding renovations. We knew dozens of siding installers, but they worked mostly on new construction projects for homebuilders. Their private customers were often left confused during the lead-up and execution of their project, because new construction installers usually deal with customers who do between 30 and 300 siding projects every year. Since they aren’t used to working for private customers, they don’t understand how the siding renovation process looks from the homeowner’s point of view.
That’s the reason we left our jobs to start Blue Jay Exterior Renovations: to create a company designed from the ground up to provide the best possible service and installation in the siding renovation industry.
We work for homeowners, not homebuilders
Because we work exclusively direct with homeowners, we understand how important your exterior renovation is to you. We don’t take any project for granted, no matter the size or scope of work. Most of our customers don’t undertake more than one or two siding projects in their lives, so we provide resources to help you learn about your product and design options. Are you interested in a few different designs? We provide clear, itemized pricing so you can decide what features are worth it for your home. If you are having trouble visualizing the products you’re considering, we’ve got a software program that shows you exactly what your home will look like when the job is done.
Is Blue Jay Exterior Renovations the right contractor for you? Well, we’re not the cheapest quote out there, and our booking schedule means we won’t be able to start working on your project tomorrow. Meet the team
Paul Little (Owner)
Paul handles everything pre-construction for Blue Jay, from project consultations, through to design support and scheduling of the project. When not meeting with clients or at his computer, Paul likes to get out to our job sites and see our projects come to life.
Lisa (Project Consultant)
Along with Paul, Lisa will be your main point of contact for everything pre-construction. She’ll meet with you at your home to get an understanding of the project, take measurements and offer design support, and review your quote with you.
David (Customer Care Manager)
Likely the first person you’ll speak with at Blue Jay when you reach out, David handles a wide range of responsibilities for our clients. He’ll schedule your initial consultation, be there to meet with you in the showroom if you want to check anything out in person, order materials when your contract is signed, and keep you updated on your project’s schedule.
Bjorn Delblanc (Owner)
Bjorn manages our construction, and will be your main contact through the installation portion of your project. The majority of Bjorn’s time is spent on jobsite, working with our installers to ensure a smooth renovation and meeting with our clients to ensure their satisfaction.
Omar (Site Supervisor)
Blue Jay promises a stress free siding renovation, and Omar works hard to make sure that happens! Omar is on site every day making sure our team has the materials needed, reviewing install details, and meeting with clients to make sure they’re happy with the process and result.
