White Vinyl Siding Replacement

Not everyone who wants new siding is trying to change the design of their home exterior. Sometimes, the look you have is exactly the look you want! This homeowner knew that an exterior refresh was all that the house needed.

For this project, we replaced old style 7-inch exposure white vinyl siding with new 4.5-inch exposure vinyl. White siding is the best choice to bring all the design elements on this exterior together: forest green shutters and awning fabric plus the red brick chimney chase would clash with just about any siding colour you could come up with.

Sometimes even seemingly simple renovations can come with nasty surprises. When we pulled off the siding around the backyard picture window, the wood frame was completely rotted around both bottom corners. We recommended a window company to the homeowner, and coordinated the framing repairs to the opening as well as the new custom window replacement. We also replaced wood sheathing in a few places, and this house is now rot-free.

Because we knew about the longer timeline in advance, we were able to plan ahead for any material price increases and presented a quote that was price-protected for a full year.
