Mitten Indigo & Exterior Insulation

The total package! This siding renovation combines everything you’d want in an exterior renovation - beauty, maintenance reduction, and energy efficiency.

We removed the original siding and replaced the existing tar paper with new Tyvek Drain Wrap underlayment. Next, we installed 1.5” Enerspan GPS Insulation. On the stucco walls, we installed the siding right overtop of the stucco with 3/4” Enerspan insulation as an insulating underlayment.

The clients chose Mitten Building Products beveled vinyl siding, in the colour Indigo. This is one of our absolute favourite colours on the market today. Check out how much better the original brick work looks next to the brand new siding!

New white soffit, fascia, and eaves and a standout Hardie Panel and Trim feature on the rear bay window provide the extra flair to make this a standout exterior renovation.

You may have noticed the plank of wood attached to our A-frame company sign. The clients were waiting for some important parcels, so we offered to turn our company sign into a temporary house number plate!

Another seemingly small item on this project is the small brick repairs. Take a look at the “before” photos. The original eavestrough included a downspout that broke through the brick column to the left of the overhead door. Since the clients wanted us to have that downspout moved over to the other side, we were left with a hole in the brick. We put the clients in touch with our preferred mason, and he was able to find new bricks that matched the originals perfectly. Now, you’d never know that the bricks had been repaired!
