Light Mist Hardie Board Renovation

If you were to ask just about anyone what they are most looking for in an exterior contractor, the most likely answer is “quality installation.” Of course, a quality installation is a must-have for any beautiful exterior project. Just like our other projects, the siding install on this home has been executed perfectly.

We replaced the existing vinyl siding with new Hardie Plank in Light Mist. The colour contrasting Hardie Trim corners were done in Night Gray to give the siding some extra “pop”, and the whole package pairs perfectly with the existing masonry and soffit, fascia, and eaves. This one’s a stunner!

So aside from the quality of the install, what else is important to a client? Well, it depends on the client. In this case, the client asked us to adjust our schedule to accommodate two other exterior projects - a new rear deck, and new synthetic turf in the back yard. To make everything work for the clients, we arranged to split the project into two phases: first, we would side the rear walls only. That meant setting up, installing siding, final touch ups, and moving off the project. After the back walls were done, the new deck and backyard were installed by other contractors. Once they were ready for us, our crew came back to finish the front and side walls of the home.

It may seem like a small thing to split up the project, but it can really wreak havoc on our installation schedule. That’s why most contractors would just say “No” to that request. But in this case, it was very important to the clients goals. So we made it work!
