Hardie Board Transformation
For this beautiful renovation, we worked with a general contractor to install new Hardie Plank, Trim, and straight edge shingles. The general contractor had the stucco removed, and made some changes to the existing structure prior to our arrival on site.
Since this project was completed, Blue Jay made the decision to no longer work on projects with builders and general contractors. The contractor we worked with on this project was not a problem whatsoever, but we felt that this decision would allow us to better tailor our processes around the needs of individual homeowners.
The design features Boothbay Blue Hardie Plank lap siding as the main siding, with a complementary Evening Blue Hardie Shingle accent in the gables and the front bay window. Boothbay and Evening Blue are different enough from one another that the design features plenty of contrast, but they are close enough that there is still cohesion throughout.
Details such as the mitered Arctic White trims on the bottom bump out, and crown and sill window trims really take the finishing to the next level. While we didn’t install it ourselves, the stone work around the front door and new steps is the perfect accent to tie in with the Hardie. The end result is a gorgeous new exterior.
