Hardie Board Renovation

Hardie siding and panels in spruce grove

Trendy colours and design were blended with the classic footprint of an Alberta bungalow to create a transformation that feels both contemporary and timeless.

Aluminum siding on the front of the house was removed, and the stucco sides and back were strapped with pressure treated wood to allow for the new Hardie board exterior to carry through the entire house. To accommodate for the additional depth of the new strapping and siding, the back windows and door were capped.

The Arctic White Hardie Panel and Battens adds that modern farmhouse feel to the upper portion of the home - wrapping the house and carrying up through the side gables. The Hardie batten shadowband running along the soffit line frames the beautiful design. Below the board and batten, 8.25” Hardie Plank maintains some of the original aesthetic of the aluminum siding - but the dark beauty of Night Gray and the colour matched NT3 corners simultaneously give this a very modern update.

To add some additional depth to the front of the home, the gable features an Arctic White Hardie Shingle. The use of Arctic White in this location allows the shake to stand out aesthetically without distracting from the beauty of the board and batten or the plank.
