Hardie & Vinyl Bungalow Renovation

Hardie Plank and vinyl siding were used in combination to create this outstanding transformation. The homeowners removed the existing vinyl siding and stucco, and the craftspeople at Blue Jay Exterior Renovations installed the siding, soffit, fascia, and eavestrough.

Note the subtle transition of Boothbay Blue Hardie Plank into the Indigo vinyl siding from Mitten. Traditional profile vinyl was selected to minimize the visual impact of the transition between the two products, and we looked through the colours from all 4 major vinyl manufacturers to find the best colour match.

Hardie Panel was installed in the gable, with 3.5” Hardie Trim used to create the battens and shadowboard along the soffit line. A combination of Hardie Panel and Trim was also used on the beautiful new bay window the homeowners installed prior to our arrival. The Hardie Trims on the windows were installed with an extended crown and sill to add to the timeless look of this renovation.

The combination of Hardie and vinyl allowed the homeowners to maximize curb appeal while also staying within their budget. This trend is becoming increasingly popular in Edmonton, and as you can see from the photos, looks tremendous when done properly!
